Intensive Violin Lessons

Ever dreamed of playing challenging songs such as Let It Go or I Knew You Were Trouble (Taylor Swift) with the violin? During our violin crash course lesson, our violin teachers will teach you how to play these advanced level music songs with the violin. On average, it takes about 2 to 3 months to master these songs. Our intensive violin lessons are 3 times a week, 2 hours each lesson. Our intensive violin lessons are for students whom have at least passed grade 6. Students can take these lessons during their free time or holidays. After taking our intensive violin lessons, you will surely be able to sight read and learn every song quickly!

After understanding where your common mistakes lie at, they will find methods for you to correct these mistakes within a short period of time. The aim is for you to score as high as possible!

Preparing for your ABRSM examination is a big matter, like the last hurdle in a big race. To win the race, you have to first understand what is required of you and lots of practice! The examination is out of 150 points. The passing grade is 100 points, whereas to get merit is required 120 points. The hardest of all to achieve, is the distinction which requires one to achieve 130 points.

Before the violin examination, you have to confident and prepared. Here are a few tips for your preparation:

• Practice makes perfect.

Do not only start practising the day before.

• Use tools to assist you.

Make use of music recording devices to listen and improve.

• Ensure that your violin is in good condition.

Before your violin examination day, sleep early and rest well. You will feel confident if you are prepared and have been practicing a lot. Remember your song books and keep your violin in a case to prevent damages or accidents.

These are the syllabus for the ABRSM examination:

• Scales and Arpeggios
• The exam pieces (You are allowed to bring in your exam book.)
• Sight-reading (A short unknown music piece.)
• Aural Tests (Listing and singing.)
